Had a neck and face lift. I am not sure if this is the submandibular gland issue or too much fat removed under the chin and how to fix it.
Answer: Recommend having a revision done followed by doing morpheus8 treatments to help improve results Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: 18 months post chin liposuction, what are my options Much more information is needed, such as a full set of facial and neck photographs from all angles, and a copy of the operative report to find out what was accomplished in your neck during that procedure. You may have additional fat, your platysmal bands may have separated, large digastric muscles, or hypertrophy of the submandibular glands.

Answer: Undesirable outcome It looks like your fat layer is uneven and too much fat was removed in certain areas. Correcting previous overzealous Liposuction is not easy. Revision work is generally more difficult than primary procedures so you need to be more selective when choosing providers. I recommend multiple in person consultations before considering any revision work. For a second opinion consultations always show proper before and after pictures. For in person consultations you should also bring a copy of your operative report which is available from your surgeons office if you request it. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
