Hello! I am in my mid-20s and I have had 2 vaginoplasties (one when I was 20 and one when I was 24). I had the second one because the results of the first were not noticeable enough and my vagina was still clearly "loose" (according to myself and 2 different sexual partners). After the 2nd vaginoplasty, laxity is still a concern. I'm not sure if I have chosen the wrong surgeon or if my anatomy is the problem. Is it possible to receive a 3rd vaginoplasty for tightening purposes?
Answer: Looseness after 2 vaginop[lasties Thank you for your questionExcept for the original definition of vaginoplasty as the creation of a new vagina, the term is being used as "plastic surgery of the vagina". It is not a specific procedure, per se, but each surgeon has their own surgical technique that they are calling "vaginoplasty". Some just repair the vaginal orifice, others do a traditional "anterior/posterior repair etc. Each has it's benefits and weaknesses. Therefore, depending what techniques were used, it is certainly possible to continue to have your problem despite two procedures. I advise finding a surgeon knowledgeable in "site specific defect repair" , check out their reviews, reputation and before and after photos and have an in depth consult to evaluate your situation. It could be you picked the wrong surgeon or your anatomy or your expectations.Do your homework

Answer: Is it possible to receive a 3rd vaginoplasty for tightening purposes? Hello, there should be no vaginal looseness after two vaginoplasty surgeries. Of course, if there is still a looseness that bothers you, a third operation can be performed. Laser treatment may be considered. I do not know how the surgeries are performed, but my advice to you is that if you are operated on again, you should ask your surgeon for a tightening procedure along the entire wall of the vagina.

Answer: Vaginoplasty Hi! Of course it would be impossible for me to give you specific advice about your vagina without seeing it but I find it hard to imagine that you are still “loose” after having two Vaginoplasty and no children. I wonder if you need some pelvic floor physical therapy rather than a 3rd vaginoplasty? I am interested in your partner as well. You said you have had two partners tell you that you were not as tight as you would like, but I have seen many women who have totally normal vaginas that I would not consider loose, who’s husbands swear need tightening when in fact I believe there might be something going on with the husbands. What does your gynecologist say? I would refer you to PT to assess vaginal tone and your ability to grip rather than just automatically give you a 3rd vaginoplasty. The risk you run by having an additional Vaginoplasty is having a vagina that is too tight and causes you pain with intercourse, especially after menopause when vaginal atrophy is common. At my office we do other, less invasive procedures for tone and tightening as well as surgery and I think you should look into alternative treatments before having a 3rd surgery. Good luck, I hope this has helped.
