After 7 days from a butt implants can you go back to work?

Question

I want to know if it is possible to go back to work after a week of recovery from butt implant surgery? I want to work, I feel like it would be better than staying at home. Could I use a special pillow?

Here are my post-op guidelines for activities: First 2 weeks is the most challenging with swelling, tightness, and discomfort. Also sitting is prohibited for these 2 weeks. Patients may return to work after 2 - 3 weeks as sitting and basic daily activities become easier (so no return to work for at least 2 weeks).  For those whom work from home, return to work resumes much sooner if they can work standing, kneeling, and/or lying down reclined in the "dentist chair" position. After 2 weeks patients may sit for up to 30 minutes at a time, 3 weeks for an hour, and at 4 weeks unlimited.  At 3 weeks patients can resume upper body exercises while standing only, at 4 weeks upper body exercises while seated may be added.  By 6 weeks, all restrictions are lifted as life nears normal again, all exercise (including squats and lunges) and sports may be resumed again but at low intensity.

BBL recovery is shorter than buttock implant surgery. There is probably less pain with the subfascial technique; however, most plastic surgeons will place them in an intramuscular position to reduce complications.  Following butt implant surgery, patients may not be able to sit for 14-21 days. In an uncomplicated recovery, easing back into exercise at 2 months would not be unreasonable.The best person to answer your question is the plastic surgeon you select to perform your surgery as he/she will know how your recovery is progressing.  Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

One week is. not enough time for functional recovery after buttock implants, whether they are in or above the muscle. Think closer to three weeks as more realistic for most patients.
