Can gluteal implants placed under the muscle move out of place and what may be the reasons this would happen?

I always dissect the pocket for the implant, so that the pocket is just barely large enough to accommodate the implant.  This allows for less freedom of movement.   Surgeons place the implants either underneath the fibrous tissue (fascia) covering the surface of the gluteus muscle or underneath the muscle itself. An exam would be required to determine where your implants were placed. Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
