Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Orange Peel skin of the chin can fortunately be treated by a variety of simple measures. If they are worsened by motion, then a neuromodulator, such as Botox (or its competitors Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeauveau) would be helpful. If they are exclusively at rest, then the use of a volumizing filler, such as Voluma XC or Neauvia Intense Flux would help to restore a more youthful chin contour and thereby smooth the orange peel look. Alternatively injectable skin boosters, such as Restylane Silk, Viscoderm Hydroboosters or Volite can be superficially fanned through the chin to help to hydrate and tighten the skin to reduce the dimpling. Of course a combination of the above may not only improve the effect, but yield much more prolonged improvements. Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician and best of luck to you.
Treatment for chin dimpling ("pebble chin" or "orange peel") is Botox injected into the mentalis muscle. This typically gives great improvement to the appearance of the chin. Results take about 1 to 2 weeks. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Thanks for your question and photos. You may be happy with a small amount of Botox or one of the other neuromodulators to make the mentalis muscle more relaxed, but you also should ask your dermatologist about microneedling or radiofrequency microneedling, which can help tighten the skin in that area and the whole face and neck. Please see an expert and best of luck!
Thank you for your question! Botox is a quick and simple procedure to help relax the mentalis muscle, which can cause chin dimpling when it is overactive. Other treatments that may help smooth the skin and texture would be microneedling or CO2 fraxel to help with the texture and overall appearance. Best of luck to you!
If you are only looking for some simple improvement in the dimpling or orange peel chin, you would likely be a good candidate for a small amount of Botox injected to the area. It is important that you see an experienced provider who can do a formal inperson evaluation to determine what would work best for you. Hyaluronic acid fillers might also augment the area but your provider can help give you detailed options after your exam.Best wishes,Pamela Stuart, MD
The things that can help you the most would consist of: Retin-A, dermaroller and fillers. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City
A simple Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jueveau injection may help improve this. The results last about 3 months. Learn more at the link below.
Hi there,I think you are a candidate for a small amount of Botox in that area and possibly fillers can help as well! Have a consultation with Certified Physician to explain how this may help! Best of luck!
