When can I exfoliate, use an at-home peel and Retin-A after having CO2 Fractal Laser?

We see our patients very closely for 12 weeks after co2 laser resurfacing. In my practice you cannot use vitamin A (retinol or tretinoin) for 4-6 weeks after healing, but I do very aggressive co2 resurfacing.  I suggest asking your physician.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Your surgeon should give you post operative instructions to answer those questions.  I recommend my patients start back on the Retin A 3 weeks after surgery depending on the healing.
