Thank you for your question in regards to Exilis. Yes, swelling is a common side effect from Exilis treatments and should subside within 24 hours. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
Hello there! I have definitely seen swelling post-exilis treatments. This is a very normal part of the inflammatory process that takes place after a treatment. Usually this subsides after a day or so. Exercise may aggravate this. If this continues to persist past a few days, I would recommend discussing this further with your provider. Cheers! Sarah RN BSN
Hello,Following treatment of Exilis Elite, patients can experience mild erythema and swelling due to heat which has been applied during treatment. This should quickly subside and many patients enjoy having slight swelling for lax skin as it gives them an indication of their results. However if redness or heat persists please contact your practitioner and attend for a review. In a very few cases there is a condition called panniculitis which can be triggered when Exilis is used to treat superficial fat. Your practitioner would be able to advise you on this, whilst this can be uncomfortable it is easily treated once diagnosed, with topical NSAID. I hope this helps but please seek reassurance with your original practitioner who will be happy to see you.Cavendish Clinic
