Thank you for your question in regards to Exilis. Unfortunately, Exilis cannot be performed on anyone who has a pacemaker, metal implants, copper IUD or who is pregnant or breastfeeding since a ground pad is required to perform this treatment. The combination of radio frequency and ultrasound technologies can cause these metal devices to heat up causing internal burns and possible complications hence it being a contradiction per the manufacturer. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps
