What do cooling settings on the Exilis Ultra for the thighs mean?

Hello! I am getting exilis ultra done on my upper thighs and the technician said something about keeping the cooling settings higher if it gets too hot. What does that mean? Will it interfere with the effectiveness of the treatment or as long as my temp is reaching like 40 degrees it’s ok..? Thank you!!

Thank you for your question in regards to Exilis. The higher the cooling the deeper radio frequency will penetrate for fat melting. When cooling is off, it is specifically for skin tightening. There are a variation of settings when using Exilis for different depths and areas of the body. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Hello and thank you for your question. The cooling settings refer to the depth of treatment. If the cooling is off, that means the treatment is superficial and targeting skin laxity. The other cooling setting are targeting different layers of fat for reduction. Hope this helps!

Its a difficult concept to grab but with exillis RF heating when they set to cooling higher ( in other words make the cool colder) the RF penetrates deeper for fat reduction When cooling is off the RF remains superficial and thus does more tightening  Normally you start with high cooling after several min mid level cooling then lower cooling attempting to heat a nice consistent layering of fat finally about 4.5 min no cooling
