Answer: Resurfx laser is great for minimizing appearance of stretch marks Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Carboxytherapy A safe alternative for stretch mark removal is the injection of medical carbon dioxide gas. This will life the stretch mark and stimulate new collagen. Over a few sessions the stretch marks will gradually rebuild.

Answer: Fractional Hi Lulu,You can proceed with fractional laser for the treatment of stretch mark at any time after surgery. I have had great success with 1540 variety of laser as well as the micro-ablative CO2 that doesn't have as much down time as traditional CO2 lasers. Based on your skin pigmentation, one of these two varieties will improve the appearance of the stretch marks. I usually recommend 4-6 treatments, spaced 6-8 weeks apart.

Answer: Immediately There is no minimum time limit, after your compression dressings are off, you can commence laser. For stretch marks, especially in darker skin types, I always stretch out the gaps between CO2 laser to beyond 6-8 weeks depending on the DENSITY treated. Of all the treatments you mentioned, Fraxel Re'Pair is better than the 1550- 1927 because this system is the CO2. All the best Dr Davin Lim Laser DermatologistBrisbane.
