hi. i have a wide round face and chubby cheeks which are even more pronounced when i smile. now that I'm older my cheeks are starting to sag and my nasolabial folds are becoming deeper. what procedure/s can help to reduce the chubbiness (especially the "pouch" right next to the corners of my mouth) and also address my sagging issue? i would love a more taut and contoured look, not gaunt nor hollow. thanks in advance
Answer: Improving Deep Wrinkles -- Botox/Xeomin/Dysport/Jeuveau, fillers, fat, RF treatments, Ultherapy, Renuvion, lasers, Sculptra A combination approach would give the most improvement. Deep wrinkles and smile lines can be improved with a combination of Botox and/or fillers for the lines themselves and to build anatomical support with Sculptra for collagen building. Ultherapy is a great skin tightening device, but works best in combination with other treatments like J Plasma, RF treatments, lasers, microneedling/PRP, salt facials, Cosmelan for skin tightening and improve skin tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Cheek augmentation / improvement of jowls I would suggest fillers to your tear troughs and cheeks (very subtle to give you a lift but not to look done / filled). For your early jowls (the "pouch" next to the corners of your mouth) you may want to consider ThermiTight, a minimally invasive way to tighten the neck and jowls.

Answer: Possible improvements for your face in the photos Syxw, My advice to you is limited by the quality of the photos which are rather dark and have the eye area and mouth covered. The puffiness next to and below your mouth seems to be a developing jowl which usually occurs at an older age and often with weight gain. It may be able to be improved by taking out a fat pad inside the face called buccal fat. Another way to make it look better is to inject a filler into the indentation between the chin and the jowl. Without seeing you in person or in better photographs accentuation of your cheeks with implants can also give you a younger and more beautiful appearance. Implants are permanent where as fillers are temporary ( several months) therefore, I prefer implants. Implants as well as fillers can smooth the "tear trough" indentations under your eyes. In that location fillers last longer and I may choose to use them instead of an implant. Once again there is no substitute with an excellent facial contour surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Best, Dr. Terino

Answer: Voluma for sagging cheeks Thank you for posting a photo. I recommend learning more about Voluma; this facial filler can last up to two years. Voluma will instantly volumize the mid-face giving you a younger appearance. Consult with your doctor to make sure this is best for you.

Answer: Refining the Asian Chubby Face There are several options to help refine and slim the face to help age gracefully. As every face is different with different needs, the best recommendation is to consult with a board certified specialist who can assist you with achieving the results you seek. 3-dimensional computer imaging can help you visualize what you may look like afterwards and serve as an important communication tool with your surgeon.
