There is no benefit to using mousse after a hair transplant surgery.  If you want to use it for styling purposes it is up to you.

It would be best if you contact your doctor for a follow up exam if you are having issue after surgery.  There is no particular "rule" on what day the transplanted hairs will shed.   Some grafts can be dislodged few days after surgery but this is relatively rare.

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.   In general you can start washing your hair the next day.  

Numbness of your scalp after a hair transplant may be normal. If you are concerned it is best to follow up  with your doctor.  It may persist for several months in some cases.
