The transplanted hair is coarse and visibly distinct from my natural hair. Can I expect it to soften further and merge with natural hair? Even after shaving, the transplanted hair are visible because they are perpendicular to the skin and red spots are formed? Will these red spots ever heal?

Answer: It is normal to lose transplanted hairs weeks after surgery. It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out.

It is not possible to gain hair with surgery since surgery is only redistributing existing hair. There is no way to tell what you are seeing on ads. If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is.
