Burning pain in breasts after jogging, 7 years post-op

Question

I had my silicone implants inserted back in the fall of 2016. Last week, I began having a burning pain in my breast after jogging. It has slowly gotten worse causing me to take 200 mg of ibuprofen every 5 hours. I have to sleep upright becsuse lying on my side causes pain. There is no swelling or lumps in the right breast. What is wrong?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

You may have torn part of your capsule with jogging and not wearing a good supporting bra. You had too much bounce when you ran. This area should slowly heal. If it continues, get a mammogram and/or ultrasound to check your breast.

I'm sorry to hear of the discomfort you are having after jogging.  Burning pain is sometimes indicative of nerve involvement.  Are you wearing a good supportive bra while jogging?  If rest and ibuprofen do not improve the discomfort I encourage you to visit with your surgeon or PCP for an evaluation.
