Hello,Thank you for your question. At this time miraDry can only be used in the axilla area. Please consult with a local physician to determine the best course of action. Good luck!
Hi, thank you for your question! MiraDry is not currently FDA approved for the groin area. It is only FDA approved for the underarms.
Hello. Unfortunately, miraDry is not currently approved for treating hyperhidrosis in areas other than your underarms. It is possible to use BOTOX® to help relieve excessive sweating in larger areas like the groin, but keep in mind that you will need to schedule regular appointments every several months. I would recommend sitting down with a cosmetic surgeon or two with experience performing this specific treatment to get a better idea of whether or not it might be the right solution for you. Good luck!
Hi! Unfortunately, miraDry has not yet received FDA approval for use anywhere except the underarm (axilla) area. I hope someday we will be able to safely treat the groin area, and the company is surely working on other applications for the wonderful treatment. In the meantime, ask your dermatologist about topical anti-sweating preparations that can be used occasionally but have a risk of irritation, keep the area as cool and dry as possible, and I would also avoid Botox in the groin area. Good luck!
Thank you for this question. It is unlikely that you are experiencing any compensatory sweating, since 1%-2% of your sweat glands are located in your underarms. Often just one miraDry treatment provides up to 82% reduction in sweating. (In some persistent cases, a follow-up treatment is b...
Nv_patriot, Your experience post miraDry is not normal and would be best addressed by direct examination. From your description it sounds like you may be experiencing the early stages of an infection. Tenderness and fevers may appear if left untreated. Be Well Dr G
That sounds unusual. We perform a lot of MiraDry treatments and it doesn't make physical sense that destroying the sweat glands in such a small part of the body could cause other areas to sweat more profusely. Might be best to see your doctor again to be evaluated.
