Thank you for your question! Unfortunately without pictures or knowing exactly what how extensive the lift was (whether it was an extended plane SMAS lift, or whether the neck was plicated, etc) its hard to give a very definitive recommendation to help improve the sensation. That being said, by 6 months, you can certainly do some exercises to help stretch the muscle. I find that often when patients had corsets along the midline as opposed to just a lateral lift there are different ways of improving that sensation faster. I recommend you contact your doc's office, and discuss this sensation with them as they know what was done for you and will be able to best guide and counsel you through. It does take a full year and sometimes longer, believe it or not for everything to completely settle after surgery. Best of luck!
