Woke up with vein showing on right temple. Could it be connected to under eye fillers? (Photo)

About 3 weeks ago I got a small amount of restylane silk in tear troughs. Today I awoke with this vein showing slightly bulging on right temple. Could the filler have caused this? I also have had an awful cold with constant coughing. We are on vacation and have been doing rollercoasters etc. my doctor said it would be fine to do all that after fillers. I am worried. I also had numbness on right shoulder last night in a small spot I know there’s lots of nerves in the face

Thank you for sharing your concerns. The small amount of filler with was injected 3 weeks prior has nothing to do with your current issues. Please see a primary care physician if these problems persist or get worse.

The visibility of this vein is not a concern from a medical standpoint.  It is fine for you to travel and ride roller coasters three weeks after a filler treatment.  The cause of this vein could be from several factors including the cold that you have.  The numbness is likely unrelated to your filler treatment.
