I have a mole on my right big toe causing a tingling sensation in the upper half of the entire foot, could this be melanoma?

I was really worried so i looked it up, and the first thing that showed up was MELANOMA. I've told my parents many times that it is definitely a sign of foot melanoma, and they said they would take me to the doctor but i just can't wait!!! All i can think about now is how by the time they do take me, how much it could have spread. I could lose my TOE or even my ENTIRE FOOT if I don't act quick!!!!

I agree you should get the mole checked by a dermatologist.  There are 5 signs that should prompt extra concern about skin cancer or melanoma which are the ABCDE's of changes of a mole. They are A= Asymmetry , B= Bordter Irregularity , C= color change, D= Diameter greater than a pencil eraser, E= Evolution.  Tingling in a large area around the mole is not a common sign.  The best way is to get the mole checked to know if it need to be removed.  Wishing you the best of Health, Dr Wright

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
