I have a raised mole under my breast where my underwire falls. This wasn't a probelm before but it recently raised and feels "wiggly". How would they remove this and how bad would it hurt?
Answer: Raised mole There are a number of ways to remove moles, and the decision of technique would depend on the appearance, growth and behavior, history of skin problems, family history.... No matter the technique, your surgeon should be able to make this a very tolerable, easy procedure with different methods of topical or local anesthesia. Make certain your physician also addresses concerns of post op care, as you would not want your underwire to cause discomfort, influence healing, or compromise your scar.

Answer: Mole removal is straight forward and easy to recover from The removal of a mole is a simple task for a skilled surgeon. Make sure you go to a skilled surgeon! It takes twenty minutes. It is done under local anaesthetic. I personally use a mixture of medications to give you instant numbness as well as long acting analgesia. The mixture also has medications to minimize any bleeding and discomfort from the injection. I often use two layers of sutures...one to keep tension off the wound (absorbable). The other to bring the skin into perfect alignment. This outer suture is removed after 4-7 days. The scar fades nicely with time. There are several tricks I use during surgery and after that give the best possible scar. Your surgeon will have their own post-operative instructions for you.Anytime I remove a mole I send it to a pathologist to confirm that it was not unhealthy. On occasion a pre-operative biopsy will be done to further confirm the diagnosis prior to surgery.Recovery is universally very easy.Dr Rodger Shortt, Oakville Plastic Surgeon

Answer: See a Cosmetic Dermatologist for Mole Removal--lasers, radiowave, shave I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. Pain can be managed with appropriate anesthetics. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Best way to remove a mole I think the first issue is to confirm that the mole is benign. This can be confirmed with a biopsy. This does not mean that the scar will be unattractive. After a small amount of numbing medicine is injected, a good dermatologist can shave this flush with the surface of the skin, leaving little to no scar. The mole should be sent for pathology if the clinician determines that it is questionable. I typically send moles for pathology, since it is better to be safe than sorry later.
