Question

I had my implant changed along with a uplift and reduction 3 years ago. All had been fine but I have had a fold apprear could this be from weight loss?

A new fold three years after implant exchange, lift, and reduction can be related to weight loss, because thinner soft-tissue coverage can make implant edges, rippling, or natural skin laxity more visible. In the photos, there appears to be a crease along the inner breast/cleavage area, but an exam is needed to tell whether this is skin laxity, implant rippling, scar tethering, or a pocket/capsule change.

If the fold appeared after a noticeable weight change and there is no pain, redness, swelling, or sudden size change, a non-urgent review with your original surgeon or another qualified plastic surgeon would be reasonable. Treatment depends on the cause: sometimes observation is enough, while persistent visible folding may need fat grafting, implant or pocket adjustment, capsular work, or skin tightening/revision of the lift. If there is pain, warmth, rapid swelling, a new lump, drainage, or a sudden change in breast shape, you should be assessed promptly.

Weight fluctuations can cause changes to the shape and size of the breasts. Have you noticed any other changes, such as increased/decreased firmness or something else? If you have, it might be a good idea to see your surgeon to make sure these changes aren’t anything to be concerned about.

From the submitted photos there appears to be skin laxity.  This could possibly be related to weight loss, age, the weight of the implants, or a combination.  The correction would be a revision to the lift.  If you are wanting to exchange the implants this could be done at this time as well.

Yes, this is probably from weight loss. Your plastic surgeon could do a fat transfer and help fill in this area.
