I am about to get some hair extensions fitted however have seen some comments online about the metal part of the nano / micro ring extensions interfering during surgery and causing burns ? Is someone please able to confirm if it would be advisable to remove the hair extensions before surgery or if it is safe to keep them in. Many thanks

Answer: Micro ring hair extensions during rhinoplasty surgery
I would advise a face to face consult with a plastic surgeon. Your nose is small and may potentially benefit from a bridge augmentation, and your tip may benefit from a tip-plasty - the extent of the surgery will vary with your desires and guided by a plastic surgeon skilled in rhinoplasty. ...
Since each rhinoplasty surgery is different, I strongly recommend following your surgeon's postoperative instructions. I typically recommend that my patients sleep with their head elevated for the first 2-3 nights to help decrease swelling. I also remove splints after a week in most cases. ...
Hey there,
That’s because of the swelling after the surgery. Depending on the nose structure and skin thickness it may take up to 1, 1.5 year until it goes away completely.
