Still possibly spitting stitches, fluid pockets, scars getting somewhat worse in some areas. Surgery in 2015. What should I do?

Question

I had a breast augmentation w/ mastopexy done in March 2015 (anchor incision). I had internal stitches done and I find I am still getting pockets of fluid build up in spots. I feel that the stitches still haven't dissolved in some spots and are creating pockets of fluid. My scars in some spots are getting more red. And now I have weird round scars in spots down my incisions and around my areola where my stitches have spit. I just started using silicone scar strips hoping that might help. Any ideas?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Find a plastic surgeon to see you and be evaluated. You may be developing hypertrophic scarring or possibly keloids. You need to be examined.  Photos would have been very helpful here.

You obviously have complex issues after your surgery which is now at least 3-4 years old.I do not think you were going to find worthwhile to answers on this forum, but you should return to see your surgeon or a different board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and treatment of these issues.Best of luck.
