Why is there a dent in breast when raising arm? 1.5 years post breast lift with implants. (photo)

Question

My surgery was on Novembe 2018( gel implants 350 CC below muscle), by January I noticed this dent on my left breast whenever I raised my arm and it hasnt gone away. I also see a similar but smaller indentation on my righ breast when i raise my right arm.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Thank you for your picture and questions. While an exam would be most helpful, it appears that you have some scar tissue from surgery that is causing some deformity with movement. You have have had subpectoral implants and the muscle is pulling on the implant when you raise your arm. This is quite common wih submuscular implants and nothing to worry about. For a fuller explanation, arrange a review with your plastic surgeon.

Based on your photo, your history and not having a physical examination it appears as the skin at the bottom of your breast has thinned and is stuck to the breast implant capsule.
