3 days post-op. My ribcage is swollen and feels tender to the touch. Advice? (photos)

I got a breast lift with implants 3 days ago. Today I noticed my ribs and back are way wider than usual. I am worried and I can’t find any information online. I see my doctor monday for the post op but I want answers now. My ribcage feels tender to touch and is swollen please let me know :(

Dear Godsgirl56,
I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast lift surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides, you will be able to see the final result of your surgery

If your implants were placed behind the muscle, it is quite normal to have swelling. Muscles of your chest work with the muscles of your back, so tenderness there can happen. Try some cold compresses on your muscles.

Only 3 days postoperative! Swelling, edema are the usual. But why not call your chosen operative surgeon with this question over the weekend?
