Hi, about seven years ago I had 2 dental implants in my front teeth, and on them they put 4 dental crowns (meaning I don’t have any real teeth “within” them). Last night I noticed this tiny dark spot on one of them (see picture) and nothing can get it off. It seems like it’s part of the crown and has just always been there (but I know for sure it hasn’t). What can this be? Is there any way of removing it without completely switching the whole crowns?

Hello. Inlay or onlay does not create enough support against fractures in dehydrated teeth which underwent root canal treatment. So, crowns will be a stronger and more durable solution
Hello. You can have inlay or onlays for restoration of related teeth after root canal treatment. The decision of crown or inlay/onlay depends on remanining tooth structure.
Gold crowns are very soft materials compared to metal-based crowns. It is a common problem with gold crowns. If you have bruxism it will happen sooner. It won't be a problem if dentist recemented. However, you have to be sure about your dental care.
