Hello I’d like to ask can I avoid a crown for those two premolars ? They both had root canal and my dentist told me that she would prefer to make me a crown for the last premolar but that I could have a onlay for the first premolar. Do you think its possible to have onlay or inlay for both or it looks like its too damaged ? Heres a picture.

Hello. You can have inlay or onlays for restoration of related teeth after root canal treatment. The decision of crown or inlay/onlay depends on remanining tooth structure.
Gold crowns are very soft materials compared to metal-based crowns. It is a common problem with gold crowns. If you have bruxism it will happen sooner. It won't be a problem if dentist recemented. However, you have to be sure about your dental care.
It is very hard to place the composite on metal. However, you do not need any restoration on it. It won't cause any problems at this time, and furthermore, you do not need to change the crowns.
