Hi @carollina80. I would recommend avoiding Botox and Fillers while pregnant or breastfeeding. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Thank you for your question, this is a common concern for patients. If you've previously had your lips injected before you became pregnant, then there is no need to worry - you and your baby are safe! However, it is recommended to avoid new cosmetic injections, such as dysport and dermal filler, until after you have finished breastfeeding. Best of luck!
fillers can be in the lips and do not affect breast feeding.lip fillers and lift will not help the corners of your mouth, that needs botox, threads or a lip corner lift. sometimes an early face/neck lift helps. accutite can be a non invasive alternative. I would use daily hydration and plumping (see emeragecosmetics lip essentials kit). everyone can do a little filler when done well really gives nice hydration and plumping. Best, Dr. Emer.
I am not aware of any reason why you cannot have an injectable filler in your lips and not be able to continue to breast feed your infant. There is no direct transmission of product from your lips into your infant as the result of breast feeding since the filler stays put in the area it was injected. Now, I would not have filler placed while breast feeding but there is no harm if you already have it in your lips placed prior to breast feeding.
I would not suggest any cosmetic treatments during pregnancy or during breastfeeding. Wait till you are done with breast feeding before being treated.
It is generally recommended to avoid all elective treatments, including lip fillers, while pregnant or breast feeding. While there are no data to show that lip fillers to the mother would be harmful to the breast feeding infant, there are also no data to show that it would be safe.
Having any filler or botox while breast feeding is not recommended. You should wait until you are finished breast feeding and then you can have your lips done. Hope this helps!
If you had hyaluronic acid fillers injected into your lips prior to beginning breast feeding you do not need to have the product dissolved. If further treatment is desired it is best to wait until you have finished breastfeeding.
There are no studies to support the use and injection of hyaluronic acid fillers during breast feeding... In other words, we don't know if this is safe or not! Of course if you already have lip injections from pre-pregnancy, you should not worry, but I do not recommend getting lip injections (or other injectable aesthetic treatments) until you are finished breast feeding. Better safe than sorry! Best of luck, love!
Hello and thanks for your question! To be as safe as possible, you should not get any type of treatment/filler while pregnant. Hope this helps and good luck to you!
It would be next to impossible to go blind from lip fillers. Blindness can be a complication (very rare) of fillers injected into certain areas including the nose as the filler can theoretically get into the ophthalmic artery. Again, this is very rare, but still concerning so a physician who...
Hello and thanks for your question. You may not get complete resolution however lip filler could be a good option here to help balance the asymmetry out. Always seek a qualified and experienced practitioner, best wishes
You are safe to proceed with getting lip fillers. There is no contraindication to having a blood transfusion two years ago and getting lip fillers today. Good luck!
