Are 3D printed implants better?

Reliable756954
Ive just got a consultation (my second visit for a consultation with the same doctor, board certified) — and my surgeon suggested that the use of a new technology, to do a CT scan and print out a silicone implant according to my nose is a better choice versus having to carve it out by hand. Is this correct? I'm considering all options before booking my surgery in the next couple months. Answers would be greatly appreciated.
