Started to sense a strange feeling inside my boobs 4 years after Breast Augmentation - what could this be?

I have had a breast augmentation 4 years ago. I am very happy about my boobs, don´t have any specific complaintAbout 1 year ago I have started to sense a strange feeling inside my boobs. It´s quite difficult to describe it: it feels like i have bubbles, a creaking feeling. I only feel this when I walk fast and move my arms or when I clean the hosue and do movements with my arms. I gave consulted the doctor who made the operation and he examined my breasts with his hands and he found it ok.

Assuming that you've noticed no change in the size, this could be an early capsular contracture and/or signs of a rare early rupture of a gel. I would consider imaging such as an MRI for further evaluation. Hope this helps!

More information is needed in order to determine what may be the cause of the sensations you describe.  If you have been examined and are still concerned you may wish to talk to your surgeon about further testing such as a mammogram or an ultrasound.

It is not unusual to have some different sensations as you age and some of your tissue changes. At times, a small amount of fluid is still present around the implant, and you may be feeling this. At times, some scar tissue is present and you notice it.

If your complaints are temporary and gone in some weeks, the there is probably not a problem. If they are still there, then consult for imaging with mammogram, ultrasound and MRI if needed. There might be a rupture of the implant, or capsular contracture or some other thing that cause you these strange feelings.
