Juvederm lip injections lasted a week?

The initial swelling subsides in about a week after the injection. It is likely that you will need more to achieve the result you desire. Half a syringe is not much for enhancing a lip that needs more volume; even a full syringe is often not enough for a thin lip. I recommend follow up and discussing more filler.

Very commonly the lip is very plump after the injection because of swelling. If you liked the look at two days then you probably need more filler injected.

It seems you did not have sufficient augmentation initially even though the first one lasted 6 months. I find that most of my patients will come back 2 weeks after the initial injection and have some more. I look at Lip Injections as a 2 session procedure 2 weeks apart. In that way, the patient is happy and gets full satisfaction

In the first picture, you have an incredible amount of swelling. It's not the filler you like, it's the swelling! So, if you want your top lip that big (and personally, I think your second photo has a nice, not too pouty and not overfilled, natural looking pretty lip), then you need more filler in it. In the lips Juvederm lasts 6-8 months, and if you want a fuller lip, I'd recommend maybe a switch to Restylane. The molecule size is a bit bigger than Juvederm, but it's still an HA filler so it's still soft.
