What Facial Surgeries Can I Have to Look More Native American? (photo)

Question

I am half Native American and half Irish, but I don't have many of the common traits of being Native American. I have high cheekbones, which I've always loved about myself, but I would like a slimmer nose, fuller lips, and more almond shaped eyes. Most Native American's tend to have slight epicanthic folds, almost oriental looking, and I would LOVE to have that. I've heard of plenty of popular surgeries to correct epicanthic folds, but I'm not sure if they can be created artificially.

Be careful what you wish for, because you have a very attractive face. Although it may be possible to create epicanthal folds, such attempts would be unpredictable, and best described as a surgical misadventure. A slimmer nose and fuller lips can be readily achieved using Rhinoplasty and fillers (Resylane, Juvederm)

The rhinoplasty can reduce the tip and the hanging columella in the manner you would like. I would not change other elements. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of rhinoplasties and rhinoplasty revisions each year. You have very attractive eyes and creating epicanthal folds will be a mediocre at best, and a disaster at worst. You have very full lips already, so in my opinion any more would look unnatural. A rhinoplasty would be the only surgical procedure that you should consider if you would like a slimmer tip.

	Thank you for your question and photo.  You have a very pretty face.  Certain areas of it can be accentuated, and others de-accentuated.  slimming down your nose along the dorsum (ridge) and tip will have a very nice effect, although not necessarily native american.  Your eyes are beautiful.  Leave them alone.  The slimmer nose will accentuate the eyes.  Your lips are already very sultry, but can be augmented slightly at your preference, although, don't over do that.

Arkansas, my old home. . .go Razorbacks!  Anyhow, you're pretty gorgeous so lets talk.  NO EPICANTHAL SURGERY for you.  The risks faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar outweigh the benefits.  The other changes you're interested in are reasonable and should be obtainable with a good board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Whenever celebrities are seen on TV or in print that have had bad plastic surgery, more often than any other area , it is usually their eyes that look weird. Bad aesthetic eyelid surgery in my opinion is the most common cause of people looking odd after plastic surgery. You already have beautiful eyes. You do not need and should not have surgery to change the look of your eyes. I do see your concerns about your nose as reasonable but I would recommend you leave the eyes alone.

Your nose can be made slimmer and more refined so it is more proportional with your fine surrounding facial features. If you want larger lips, do this very conservatively. I strongly advise you to leave your eyelids alone - they are beautiful.

Rhinoplasty would create a slimmer and more defined nasal contour, and would be very attractive on your face. Your lips are already beautiful, but if you want to try for a bigger and fuller look you can use a hyaluronic acid filler like restylane for a temporary increase (7-14 months). Leave your eyes alone: the scarring raises the risks and the benefits are small.
