Hello, I have a long philtrum (1,8- 2cm) and a thin upper lip with minimal teeth show and not very well defined philtral columns and Cupid’s bow. I‘ve been wishing for a lip lift for quite some time now, but I am concerned about the scarring, since I have developed hypertrophic scars (arms, trunk) in the past. Is it still possible for me to get a lip lift? And am I a candidate for the procedure based on the pics? I am very unhappy with my lips and philtrum.

Answer: Less scars with endonasal lip lift surgery
Your upper lip appears quite full, in fact more than your lower lip. The distance between your nose and upper lip appears short. I do not think you would be a good candidate for a lip lift.

This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
Usually the amount is 10 to 12 mm in a young woman. The older the longer it should be. Since you have the rhinoplasty done 3 months ago, you can have the lip lift done at any time.
