Lip lift: what is the maximum amount you can shorten the distance between nose and upper lip? (photos)

I’m been extremely interested in getting a lip lift. I’ve always disliked how my corners turn in and the distance between my nose. What is the maximum distance you can shorten this distance? I also had a rhinoplasty 3 months ago and what is best amount of time to wait for a lip lift procedure

Hello ggsanaz, your philtrum distance - hence your upper lip show- is definitely going to benefit from a liplift because the upper lip is droopy and removing more silicon alone is not going to suffice. whether or not combining liplift with extra silicone removal is the right question i believe....

I recommend a lip lift because the distance between your nose and upper lip is great. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Teeth show when smiling, should be the most critical component of deciding whether patient is a candidate for a lip lift. If teeth show is satisfactory, there is no indication for lip lift in most cases. Hope this helps.
