It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.  If your doctor advised you NOT to do something, then you should not do it.

It is normal to lose transplanted hairs days to weeks after surgery.  It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out.  If you lost a graft there may be bleeding.

Can over-application of Minoxidil kill transplanted hair?
