Photos cannot assess if you would be a candidate for surgery. Usually this involves seeing a doctor in person to understand realistic goals and outcome,
It won't be enough to cover that area I'm afraid. Your hair calibre is also a touch think so you may need more than double that number. For more accurate estimates go to your hair surgeon and get him/her to measure the area.
Thank you for your question. For your level of hair thinning, 1200 grafts will be reasonable to give a decent level of density. Your hair transplant surgeon would have advised as to what you can expect with the hair transplant and how many he/she feels would suffice to give a dense hair transplant.I hope this helpsKRRohit SethPlastic, reconstructive, aesthetic and hair transplant surgery
I recommend you to have a FUE operation with 1700-1800 grafts. Although the area is large enough to get 2000 grafts , vertex dense implantation may not result expected density because of surface geometry. Hair transplantation would cover all bald spot in vertex with one session of operation and you would have a good/ "enough" result
I usually measure the area to determine the number of grafts, and on a crown, I suggest 40 to 50 grafts per square cm depending on the patients hair type. Since 1200 grafts would only cover 30 sq cm or an area 5 cm by 6 cm at most, I think you need a lot more grafts than 1200 for good coverage. Have your doctor measure the area and ask him what density he hopes to achieve. Based on this photo, you need 2500 plus grafts for adequate coverage.Dr. Robert Jones
No, 1200 grafts will not cover the crown with the size as shown in the photo. This area will take easily twice that number
