4 days ago I went to a board certified facial plastic surgeon who has even been on TV . I paid a very high premium for Botox in my forehead , frown lines and crows feet. When he was injecting the Botox he had me laying down and when he was injecting over my left eye brow if felt a lot of product being injected in one spot and it hurt I told him this. He said he is an artist who has over 20 years experience anyway now my left eyelid is dropping 4 days after. Will this get worse? Photos
Answer: So sorry you are experiencing this. I recommend that you fire this injector. At day 4, will this get worse from here? Yes, it can. Hopefully it will not. I have published a paper on this topic. I recommend getting a prescription for Iopidine 1% ophthalmic solution. Use the product one drop twice a day. If it is effective at opening the eyes, then your dose of botox in the levator muscle that opens the eyes was small. The immediate effectiveness of the Iopidine forecasts that your ptosis will last 4 to 6 weeks. However, if the drops are ineffective, then it forecasts that the ptosis will last much longer and can take 3 to 4 months to recover, sometimes longer. I would recommend finding an oculoplastic surgoen to follow you for this. The statistics of how often this happens do not matter because you have the complication. So for you, the incidence is 100%.

Answer: Drooping Lid May Get Worse Before It Gets Better Thank you very much for your question and photographs. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with eyelid dropping after your Botox session. Unfortunately, as the full results from Botox injections will take up to two weeks to appear, there is a chance the drooping could get worse. However, as the results from Botox are only temporary, the droopiness should completely resolve over the next three months. I recommend reaching out to your Botox provider for a follow-up and to get his/her advice.

Answer: Eyelids after botox Thanks for the pics.... a couple things... sorry you are having trouble... The neuromodulator you had injected takes 4-7 days to start working and 10-14 days to reach maximal effect.... Both of your lids are lower in the after pic, however, your head is in a different position... meaning your chin in closer to your neck in the second pic. In doing so, your eyeball stays in the same place, while your lids and face move downward giving the appearance of a lower lid. That doesnt mean your lids and brow did not fall, it just accentuates the lower lid appearance. There is an eyedrop you can take to make the lids elevate when you are going to social events which will help you get through your unfortunate experience. If the glabella was not injected, you may want to check to make sure you dont have a neuromuscular disorder which could amplify your response to any neuromodulator. Good Luck! Dr Z

Answer: Eyelid drop? Botox results It can take up to 2 weeks for final results with Botox. I would wait a full two weeks before assessing whether you need a touch-up. Botox results resolve in 3-4 months. Hope this helps.

Answer: Eyelids drooping 4 days post Botox. Will this get worse? How late NGO till it goes away? Unfortunately the full effects of Botox injections can take up to 14 days. So your droop could get a bit worse. The good thing is that it doesn’t last too long. Two weeks to 4 weeks is how long the drooping usually lasts depending on how much Botox was injected. Eye ointments exist that can help the drooping.
