So I have always had a lot of excess/droopy skin on my face (even as a kid) especially the vertical area under my eyes the whole way down to the corners of my mouth it makes me feel like my face looks like my face is melting off and makes makes my aready wide jaw appear even bigger. It's a shame because when I pull all the skin up manually I see decent cheekbones. Part of me thinks that it's because my cheeks have always been hanging off my terribly long and hollow under eye circles.

Answer: Facial shape and aging Dear Polite434570, Thanks for sharing your photos. Beyond your beautiful features, I see the mild concerns you raise. The facial skeleton and tissues fuse in-utero and provide much of the shape you have today. Additional individuality in fat, muscles and skin along with collagen loss associated with aging yield the laxity of facial tissues creating flattening of the cheeks, hollowing under the eyes, folds along the nose and mouth and developing jowling and loss of jawline definition. My recommendations are: • Seek a in-person consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon skilled in non-surgical, minimally invasive and surgical options to achieve your goals. • Non-surgical: tretinoin (retinoids) for skin tightening, collagen restoration • Minimally invasive: Sculptra, chemical peels, threadlift, fillers • Surgical: appears to be unnecessary at this time. Based on these few static photos it appears to me that medial and lateral cheek fillers will provide enough volume to widen the upper “heart” region of your face, provide more projection (“apple”) fullness of the anterior cheek and gently lift the relaxing facial skin. Consider a Zein Obagi ZO Skin Health Certified Team for retinoids to begin the stimulatory restoration of collagen and facial skin tightening. I hope this helps. All the best!
