Double eyelid surgery - Asymmetrical healing or crease ? (photos)

Question

I am about 18 days post double eyelid surgery - full incisional, tapered. I asked for a low crease to achieve something natural. I understand that it is too early to conclude anything but seeing that the crease on my right eyelid is much more than the one on my left, i would like to understand if it seems to be case of uneven swelling than the crease on my right eye being cut higher than my left. At the moment I am satisfied with the results of the left eye and worried that my right will stay this way..

It is far too early to conclude you will have an issue.  Please let these eyelids heal 3-4 months.  The swelling will disappear and the asymmetry will lessen.  Will this heal perfectly?  Will these eyelids need revision?  Time is needed to know this.  Try to relax and let your eyelids heal.  Consider reposting in a couple of months so we can see how you have done.

Thank you for your question and pictures.You definitely need to give it more time for swelling to resolve. I see what you are saying but the difference is so subtle even now. Give it some time. A subtle difference is more normal than not. If you look closely at upper eyelids, it is normal for there to be differences between the two sides.I hope this helps.- Dr. Bryson Richards

...did you compare the preoperative photos to check if the assimmetries match and were pre-existant?

at 18 days postop, you are healing still. It is not unusual for the two eyelids to heal at different rates. Give yourself time to heal. if this problem persists, discuss it with your surgeon at the next postop visit.
