Can scar tissue from a Tummy Tuck cause pain?

I had a tummy tuck 13 months ago with no complications. But for the last few months, I have had sharp pains next to and above my navel mostly when I first get up in the morning. Movement seems to make it hurt, not usually when I'm still. It's almost like pin pricks. Could this be scar tissue or adhesions? Thanks so much.

Believe it or not 13 months is still early after a tummy tuck.  The are that you are describing is one that is under a fair amount of stress.  As you increase your physical activity, you are increasing the stress on the wounds.  If you are doing something new or that you can identify that is causing pain, back off a little.

Always a good idea to go back and see your surgeon, even after 13 months.  We generally love to get follow up even after a while.  They can examine the area just to make sure there is nothing unusual like a cyst or something else there and confirm that it is just scar and nerve regeneration issues.
