I had Ultherapy a few years ago. It really did nothing. It was painful and expensive. If Ultherapy didnt work for me how can I expect Profound to be any different?

Answer: Ultherapy vs Profound vs Thermage and others. I have all three devices and more, however to answer your question is a little more complex- Profound gives longer downtime, and is less predictable than Ultherapy. It is more painful, and downtime of 10 days can be expected with heavy bruising. Ultherapy, Ulthera, Thermage, and all other non surgical devices have a role to play, but patient selection is critical. Living and working in Brisbane, Australia, I see a lot of people with significant sun damage, and would like 'skin tightening'. Only 1 in 3 of my patients are suite for Profound- Ultherapy- Thermage, hence seeing someone who can assess your suitability for treatment is CRITICAL for an outcome. In some cases I only offer patients one choice, and that maybe surgical, in others it maybe a combination of lasers and fillers. See someone who has many skill sets, including laser, filling, surgical and non- surgical energy devices. This way a method NOT a device will give you results. Dr Davin Lim, Brisbane. Australia.
