It's been almost 2 weeks since I had Vaser Lipo on the neck. I have extreme swelling of my left lymph node. Is this a concern?

Swelling after #Vaser liposuction is not uncommon. Gentle #walking may increase circulation and help to alleviate swelling. But you must not strain or push yourself. Also, if you were provided a post-procedure #garment, be sure you are wearing it until prescribed otherwise by your doctor. The purpose of the post-procedure #garment is to provide some gentle #support and to reduce swelling. If it feels too tight or causes pain, take it off. Many patients wear the #elastic garment for several weeks after procedures, as directed by their doctor; some choose to wear it longer for several months for comfort.The final results of the procedure are typically most noticeable 2-4 months following #Vaser. So, you must have patience. The swelling will gradually diminish while the contours of the treated area(s) can continue to improve up to one year post procedure; becoming more apparent in appearance. If you have concerns about your healing, or pain that you question to be unusual, it is important to call your plastic surgeon to discuss these further asked to be examined. 

Thank you for your question.  Swelling and inflammation can persist for up to 6 months after any liposuction procedure, including Vaser.  It is unusual for a lymph node to swell up and hurt, but not abnormal.  As long as you are showing no signs of an infection in the treated area, this should resolve with time.  Sign of infection would include: increasing pain, redness, heat, firmness of tissue, fever, and/or discharge.  If none of these is present, then you should be fine.  If in doubt, check in with your surgeon; most likely, he or she will want to see you to be sure this is nothing worrisome.

You may still have swelling, which can effect the lymph nodes and last 3-6 months after your procedure. To speed up healing, you can try adding hyperbaric oxygen, lymphatic massage, venus legacy or exilis radiofrequency treatments. To improve final results, we will often do a kybella and ultherapy about 4-6 weeks after neck liposuction to get more of an outcome. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Swelling and some temporary lymph node flare up is very common after Vaser liposuction to the neck. It can take several weeks to resolve. Close follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended during this time and to also rule out other common causes.

It is not uncommon to have some swelling after Vaser Liposuction for up to four weeks.  A lymph node can be swollen and tender for many reasons.  I doubt that it was harmed during the procedure.  It should settle down and return to normal soon.  It sounds as though you are doing everything right - wearing your garment, using warm compresses and putting arnica cream on the area.  Just be patient and everything should resolve.

It's not uncommon for people to have areas of firmness and swelling after liposuction.
When this happens it's usually not lymphadenopathy or swelling of the lymph nodes.
There are  many lymph nodes in your neck region.
If your procedure was done correctly then this should settle down, soften and tenderness dissipate.
I find typically most areas of soft an app play six weeks.
When someone has been over treated then swelling and tenderness can go on for longer.
