I am scheduled for a breast reduction with front armpit lipo in a few months. The front armpit lipo is covered under the procedure bit I will still be paying about $5500. I am 5'3" and about 145lbs, going from 36G to hopefully a large B/Small C. I am considering additional lipo (out of pocket) for $2500, for the fat just behind my armpit. It's always been there. My weight does not fluctuate drastically, is that area worth spending that much money on aesthetically? Is it likely to grow back?

Answer: Is my rear armpit fat worth spending $2500 to lipo during breast reduction? The answer to this question is how much that area bothers you. If you hate it every single day and don't wear certain clothes because of it, do the lipo. If it doesn't bother you, don't do it. As always, be sure to research who performs your surgery to ensure the best likelihood of a positive result.

Answer: Can be surgical removed instead of liposucted At size 36 G decreased to a B or C would require 800 grams removed per breast. This would make you too small. I do not recommend such as severe reduction. Also, at the time of surgery, it is sometimes easier to surgical remove the excess fat instead of liposuction. However, as others have stated, if it is going to be liposucted it should not cost $2500, it should be less expensive than that. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Liposuction candidate Dear MsNimbles, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it doesn't look like you have a lot of extra fat in that area. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
