I had several procedures performed 7 years ago including lipo to the inner thigh area transferred to my under eyes. I am left with a large hard lump under my left eye. I went back to my surgeon 5 times asking to fix my under-eyes but he refused to touch it. I tried massage which moved the fat up & directly under my eyeball. I assume it is fat necrosis but no surgeon in my area will even consult. I'm looking for the least invasive procedure possible. Will travel to NY, TX, or surrounding FL area.

Answer: Fat Transfer Under Eye Reversal This is a good question. Unfortunately, you have this problem under you eye. It is possible to remedy this, however, you must find a surgeon who is willing and knows how to handle this problem. Fat Transfer to the eyelid area is a delicate procedure that can be problematic if not performed correctly. Due to the anatomy of the lower eyelid, the more surgery you have in this area, the greater amount of scar tissue will develop. Therefore, it is important to try and achieve good results from the beginning. Removing fat in his area can be done and each case is taken individually. The patient needs a good exam to determine the depth of the injections and which layers of the eyelid are involved. I utilize 2 different approaches for this problem. The 1st is a conservative approach using Micro-Liposuction. This will work in some patients and is a conservative approach. The second approach is to access the fat via a facelift approach. By using a facelift approach the injected fat can be visualized in the tissues and then can be removed. This is a surgical approach which is necessary when the fat is injected deeper in the face and along the nasolabial folds. The injected fat can be visualized and removed. The eyelid area is unique and I approach it differently in every patient. I do not recommend Kenalog injections or other injections in this area either. These type of injections can cause further scarring in this area. The best solution is a consultation in person or discussed over the phone. I hope this helps. Good Luck

Answer: Who is willing to remove the lumps under the eyes from this fat-transfer? Sorry you had this problem. Fat transfer with a persisting lump under the lower eyelid done 7 year ago will remain unless it is surgically removed. The best way is through the inside of the lower eyelid, called a transconjuctival approach. This can be done under local anesthesia as an office procedure. I suggest finding someone who has experience with this procedure. Thank you for your question, and good luck to you.
