Icon Resin Infiltration - can this help reduce whiten teeth or would bonding be better?

From your description and the pictures, I am not able to 100% determine the cause of your tooth color appearance concern. It would be great to have some additional information. From what I can see, I suspect that the change in color is related to the bonded retainer that was placed- sometimes these can cause staining due to difficulty with home care and sometimes it can cause changes in the translucency of the teeth with something new bonded to them. I do not see an opportunity for Icon resin infiltration in your case. Congratulations on completing your orthodontic treatment. That is a great investment in you health. Icon resin infiltration is designed to treat chalky white marks on the teeth. These can develop for many reasons. Teeth can even develop with them. From what I can see in the photos Icon is unlikely to address your concern. Looking at the photos I do see the dark line on the two front teeth and I see the darkness/translucency on the surrounding teeth. I believe your 'darkness' may be inherently in the teeth, possibly due to a malformation of the tooth during its younger phases. Bleaching would lighten the color but it may still be there. It is worth a try. If the result is not acceptable to you, then veneers or bonding to cover the color would be needed.
