With modern dissolvable stitches, how long does it take for the stitch scar/stitch to completely dissolve?

Thank you for your question. Dissolvable stitches are used inside your nose and the length of time requires stitches to disappear varies. There's not a definite answer. Some disappear 7 days after the surgery and some take up to 3 months. Best wishes.

How long does it take for dissolvable stitches in Rhinoplasty‘s to dissolve? there are different types of dissolvable stitches, and they take different times to dissolve. The mucosal incisions are usually closed with chronic catgut which takes one to two weeks to dissolve. Cartlidge graphs are usually sutured with PDS sutures which take approximately two months to dissolve.
