Am I a good candidate for rhinoplasty? (Photo)

I am 21 years old. I have been considering rhinoplasty for many years, however I am not sure if my expectations for the results are realistic or not. I would like to know an expert opinion whether a rhinoplasty is necessary for me, or is my nose harmonious with the rest of my features?

Based on your photos, you appear to have a wide nasal appearance in the upper middle and lower thirds of your nose, along with flaring nostrils. You appear to have a pleasing nasal profile appearance. If you have the severe dissatisfaction with the appearance of your nose, depending on your examination, rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for achieving a narrower, and less distracting nasal appearance. Please consider meeting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists so you could see what to expect moving forward. Your tip is somewhat bulbous and asymmetrical. You would benefit from a tip rhinoplasty to make a more defined tip. Your dorsum appears a little wide. You would benefit from narrowing of the dorsum.

Hello and thank you for posting. I would say you do not need a rhinoplasty. Your face is harmonious as it is but you could benefit form surgery. You are a beautiful girl with a slightly bulbous tip. A rhinoplasty can definitely help reduce your nose tip. Your nasal-labial angle seems to be currently at about 90 degrees, so slight increase might beneficial. The base is also a bit wide and this can also be addressed. You will definitely see improvements with the procedure and I believe your expectations should be very achievable.

Are you a good candidate for a Rhinoplasty?
You have very pretty feminine features overall. The nose, however, is not quite in harmony with those other features in my opinion. The tip appears too broad as well as perhaps the nostrils, and to a lesser extent the bridge. Refinement of those features would make your nose more delicate and feminine, and more in harmony with your other facial features.

No one has to have cosmetic surgery. When someone is concerned enough about their aesthetic appearance that you’re motivated to have surgery, including all the risks and drawbacks that goes with having the procedure then they are generally ready to consider surgical intervention.
From Aesthetic perspective, some may feel that changes to your nose might be considered more attractive, but there’s certainly nothing wrong with your nose or your facial appearance. I think most people would say you are attractive and don’t need surgery.
The decision is to have surgery. It’s a very personal one.
Plastic surgeon will inherently be biased towards recommending surgery since that’s how they make a living.
When in doubt, slow down and wait until you feel very comfortable about the decision.
Unless someone has an obvious problem the default should be to avoid surgery unless it’s needed.
