Unsatisfied with nose tip, it's very big and rounded 1 month post nose job, is it possible to change it? If so, how? (photos)

Hi Gita: I know it is hard to be patient but please know that 1 month is very early in terms of rhinoplasty swelling.  The tip is where the swelling lasts the longest.  You have to be patient and give it time, it will get smaller.  You can talk to your surgeon, he/she might be willing to do kenalog and 5-fluorouracil injections which might be able to speed up resolution of the swelling.  Best of luck!  

Thank you for your question.  I'm sorry you are concerned about the tip of your nose.  However, at this point you will still have quite a bit of swelling simply because of your surgery.  It will take anywhere from 6-12 months for all swelling to resolve.  During this time, you will see the swelling in the tip and dorsum (bridge) of the nose subside.  I recommend that you discuss your concerns with your surgeon, and be sure to follow all post-operative instructions.  I hope that this helps!-David Gilpin

Thank you for your question.  One month post op is still very early and you will still have a fair amount of swelling. In fact- the tip remains swollen longer than any other part of the nose. If an open approach was used for your procedure you may expect to have to wait even a bit longer than usual for swelling to dissipate. So as difficult as it is, I encourage you to be patient and see how you look in another 4-5 months. Best of luck. Hope this helps.
