Is Accutane covered by kaiser permanente insurance?

I have kaiser insurance through my current employer. I wanted to know if that insurance will be covered. I have heard expenses can be in the hundreds for this when you do not have insurance.

This is a question you must direct to your insurance company.Every company has different plans and approves different medications.Sometimes you require pre-authorization for Accutane but the questions you are asking here cannot be answered by a practitioner.

I wish this question were easier to answer. Most insurances will cover Accutane to some degree, assuming you've tried and failed other meds. There are different "branded generic" versions of it as well, and some insurances choose to cover some and not others. Also, you have to take into consideration that many insurance plans now have out of pocket deductibles on prescriptions too. It really would be best to just contact your insurance and discuss your plan requirements with someone who can help guide you through your insurance's limits. "This
