Answer: 8 Days Post Op Take a deep breath. You are only 8 days post-op! Keep in mind that it takes time for your tissues and muscle to stretch to accommodate your new implants. It is a slow process but everything will be great in the end. And yes, at this point of recovery you will have good days and not so good days. Just listen to your body and rest when you are able. All the best to you!

Answer: Breast Implant Recovery It is normal to have some soreness shortly after surgery. You will feel good but it is important to take it easy to give the surgery some time to heal. If you notice a significant increase in soreness or swelling, contact your doctor.

Answer: Post op pain and tightness Thank you for your question! It is completely normally to still be feeling pain and tightness after a week of surgery. Just be careful not to over exert yourself, but yes you will have good days and bad days. It will most likely take 4-6 weeks to heal completely. If you are needing something for the pain, talk to your doctor about using an over the counter pain medication such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen. If you would like additional information regarding breast augmentation and recovery you can download a free copy of my Breast Augmentation Planner at aBetterBreast.comBest of luck to you!

Answer: Good Days and Not-So-Good Days Hi there, and thanks for your question. Everything that you're describing seems perfectly normal, so there's no reason to be anxious. Keep in mind that recuperation following surgery doesn't usually follow a totally linear path, especially when you're still as early in the process as you are now. "Bad days" of increased soreness or a sensation of tightness are an inevitable part of the healing process as your breast tissue expands to accommodate the implants and therefore no cause for alarm — especially because you opted for submuscular placement. Follow your surgeon's instructions and be patient. You'll be feeling better before you know it.

Answer: Pain and tightness 8 days post-op - is this normal? Thank you very much for your enquiry. Eight days following surgery it is quite normal to have variation in how you feel with some days feeling better than others. From your photograph your breasts look to be healing well with good symmetry and there doesn’t look to be anything untoward with them. Generally if the situation does worsen and you get significantly more discomfort it is worthwhile scheduling a consultation with your Plastic Surgeon just to check that all is well. I do hope the area continues to improve and become less uncomfortable.
