A 650 cc implant is much larger than the volume that most patients receive. This would be considered a "large implant." That being said, this volume can be appropriate for some patients, if their breast and body dimensions can accept that size without excessive tissue distortion, etc. You need to be examined in person by an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon who can advise you based on your specific characteristics. Just because an implant sizer looks OK to you in your bra doesn't mean that the volume you tried will fit properly in your breasts. The surgeon will need to consider your chest wall and breast widths, the amount of skin between the nipple and the fold beneath the breasts, the elasticity of your tissues, and other factors.Best of luck!
Your breasts have asymmetrical volume, shape andposition.Implants alone will not solveyour problem.I recommend a newtechnique called Breast Augmentation with Mini Ultimate Breast Lift™.Using only a circumareola incision it ispossible to reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness, elevatethem higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.Aligning the areola, breast tissue andimplant over the bony prominence of the chest wall maximizes anteriorprojection with a minimal size implant.Small round textured silicone gel implants placed retro-pectoral lookand feel more natural, are more stable, less likely to ripple or havecomplications needing revision.Implantprofile is irrelevant in the retro-pectoral position since the muscle compressesit.650 cc implants are large, weigh 1 ½lbs each, will descend inferiorly and laterally requiring revision.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
If the first two pictures are you trying the implants in a bra, then the implants look like a great size for you. You may need the implants over the muscle to get the best shape, in my opinion. The inframammary folds are quite high and tight. With release of the fold and a dual plane approach, it's possible that under the muscle could work. Without examining you, it's impossible to tell.
In my opinion, 650 cc's is too large and will give you a heavy appearance. They will also cause your breasts to sag faster. I would go around 500 cc's personally.
Thank you for the pictures. The 650 mL implant may work fine for you. It really determines on your tissue quality and your breast measurements.
Hello,It has not been unnoticed that this is your second post and you are wondering if it's 'OK' to get 650 cc implants. Based on the responses from both posts it should be clear that although a physical exam is necessary before making recommendations, it is highly unlikely that implants of that size will do you well. Summary of most doctor's posts:1. Get sized for the implant based on your anatomy (just like buying shoes).2. Avoid periareolar entry of implant.3. Less important: breast lift for optimum aesthetics, silicone gel, and avoid high profile. The breast that is droopier is at risk for 'double bubble' with an implant that is too large or with a surgeon who tries too aggressively to 'lift' the breast with an implant alone. This is very common and women have posted on this very issue after the fact many times on Realself.com. Please take these recommendations seriously. If the doctor you're seeing is willing to put in 650 cc implants, you should see a few others for second opinions, preferably specialists in all cosmetic breast surgery, not just implants.Best of luck!
650 cc implants are very large, and likely too large for your body. Going too large has numerous risks, some of which are irreversible. In addition, saline implants are an inferior product to the silicone gel implants, you should consider using silicone implants instead. Silicone implants look and feel much more natural and are very safe. You should consider obtaining consultations from a couple plastic surgeons in order to make sure you make the correct choice. Hope this helps and best of luck.
Your goals additional to your body measurements are important to arriving for a beautiful long lasting breast enhancement. To that end, it seems at your body surface area, photos, and weight make you a smaller person. Any implant larger than 450cc is considered large. A 650cc implant is large, weighs more than 1 lb and likely will hinder any athletic activity or exercise. I do over 500 implants a year and only a hand full are the size you mention.
A 650cc implant is large implant for someone your size. But when it comes to breasts "large" is in the eye of the beholder. It is best to try the implants on with a sports bra and determine if that is the look you desire. It is then up to the board certified plastic surgeon to determine if your skin envelope can carry an implant of that size.
Thanks for your question.Looking at your photos, from what I can tell you have some ptosis (lower positioning of the nipple) and some stretch marks (tears) of your skin. 650cc implants will fill up that space and add lots of volume for you. Here are somethings I would consider:1) 650cc implants are very heavy, almost 1 1/2 pound of weight per breast. With somewhat damaged skin and low nipples I believe there is a possibility of implant migration downwards, and over time, bottoming out.2) The base of these implants are wide and may not match the base width of your breast, as a result these implants can migrate down and out for both breasts.3) Your breasts have different shapes, sizes and chest wall positions. These implants will take what is present and making them look bigger and possibly more different.4) With the added 3 pounds (approximately) of weight to your chest any exercise, running, sleeping could be problematic. In addition, your back, your neck and your shoulders may suffer. I say this only in that patients with naturally large breasts, who present for reductions have these issues and can't wait to making the size smaller.5) Considering all the above I believe you are at increased risk for more breast surgeries down the road.6) You are a small person and 650cc implants will look very, very large on you. If that is the look you desire then you are right on. If you want a look that is full and more proportional with lifting of your nipples, you may need another type procedure called a mastopexy with augmentation.7) I strongly suggest that you seek the advice of a surgeon who is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. There are many specialties performing breast surgery; not all of them are real Plastic Surgeons.I hope this helped.Stephen M. Davis, MD, FACS
The best way to get the right size implants is to start by knowing which volume is ideal. The rice test is the best first step.THE RICE TESTget a pair of disposable pantyhose, a box of rice and a measuring cup that measures milliliters.Pour 300 milliliters of rice into the measuring cup and then...
You have a great result. The breasts are close together but they look very good. Your surgeon did a nice job! You don't have synmastia but you do have the cleavage that most women desire.
This could be nerve pain from a scarred nerve on the capsule (retrograde pain), or could be a leaking or ruptured silicone implant on that side. If this persists, an MRI or an breast US would be indicated.
